This is the first split of an eleven song album.
This was written around 2020/2022.
My laptop no longer had the processing power to run my mixing software, and I had to prioritize other things in life -- so this is why there is such a delay in me releasing music.

The songs were originally intended to be named after Taxonomic Rankings, but the name "Compendiums" wouldn't have suited this, and "Biological Compendiums" or "Animal Compendiums" sounded too clunky.

The name was luckily fitting for something else that is meaningful to me.
I have a habit of categorizing and cataloguing information.
This is a coping/defence mechanism I have developed from childhood to adulthood, due to the unstable nature of people's ability to be honest & accurate (especially Authority figures), and how this has shaped my interactions with others.
Relying on others to find what is true and make the right decisions for my wellbeing, has caused a lot of problems, and so I often rely on myself to discern what is true.

In some of the songs, I have pinched samples and chord progressions from famous films, so you might pick up on those when listening.
Don't overthink any of this stuff though; the names are after the fact of writing.
The music is just supposed to sound cool.
